- Brings wireless broadband connectivity at a longer distance than WiFi (up to 50 kilometers).
- Higher bandwidth than WiFi, although the bitrate decreases as the distance increases.
- Longer range means it can be used to connect WiFi hotspots or make connections to areas previously inaccessible to broadband.
- Potential cost savings over wired solutions in undeveloped areas currently lacking such an infrastructure.
